Merril Prager
Merril Prager is Controller of the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation.
She has a degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis and began her career in public accounting at KPMG. She worked in healthcare for many years, primarily for hospitals and doctors’ groups. As a consultant, she has acted as interim CFO for several nonprofit organizations and has provided a broad range of other financial and administrative services to improve operating effectiveness and efficiency. She joined the Foundation in 2017.
Merril has served on a number of nonprofit boards, often as Treasurer. Since 2007, she has been on the Joseph Jefferson Award Committee, which awards excellence in Chicago theatre. She has held leadership roles and has produced their awards show numerous times, including the 50th Anniversary celebration in 2018.
