Joe Panganiban

Joe Panganiban is the Program Officer for Arts Learning at the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation, where he oversees grantmaking efforts aimed at improving the access and quality of arts learning programs for Chicago youth. Joe brings deep experience in arts education, from a Chicago public school music teacher, arts non-profit leader, and a practicing musician.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Joe served as Senior Director of Programs for Little Kids Rock (now Music Will). In this role he oversaw national programs including professional learning, curriculum development, and community engagement events for a network school districts in nearly every state that serve thousands of teachers and students. He had a front row seat to see how arts learning impacts students – from the classroom to the stage. Joe has continued to be involved within Chicago’s arts and education sectors by supporting the work of the Chicago Arts Education Collaborative, City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, Ingenuity’s Creative Schools and Public Affairs Panels, Harris Theater Associate Board, and the Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles.

Joe is a proud life-long Chicagoan, Latin music performer and enthusiast, concert-goer, globetrotter, and a pretty decent cook with a renowned Filipino chicken adobo recipe.
