Chicago Women in Philanthropy Honors President Unmi Song
Each year, Chicago Women in Philanthropy's "Making a Difference" Luncheon celebrates a woman who has made a significant impact in the field of philanthropy. This year, CWIP is thrilled to honor Unmi Song, President of the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Chicago Marriott Magnificent Mile. Ms. Song has many affiliations with philanthropic and nonprofit organizations. She serves on the board of the Metropolitan Planning Council. She was appointed by President Obama to serve on the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. She has served on the boards of the Alliance for the Great Lakes, Forefront (previously the Donors Forum of Illinois), and Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy; and she has served as board chair for Asian Americans Advancing Justice, the nation’s leading Pan-Asian American civil rights group.
We hope you will join Chicago area philanthropists and non-profit professionals for this exciting in person event. For more information on how to register for this event, to become a sponsor and/or donate to CWIP, please CLICK HERE.

CWIP is so excited to return in-person for our signature event for the first time since 2019. For the health and safety of all luncheon guests, full vaccination against COVID-19 (two doses completed at least three weeks prior to March 8, 2022) is required to attend. All guests must provide proof of vaccination (photo or hard copy of vaccination card and photo ID) upon arrival to enter.
The event will conform with all state and local ordinances related to COVID-19, and additional precautions---such as COVID-symptom attestation and increased spacing at tables---will be employed. Masking at all times, except when actively eating or drinking, will be required for the duration of the luncheon. We are eager for the opportunity to see colleagues and friends in person again and are committed to doing so safely.
