Embedding brain and behavioral science in workforce programs
A recent webinar, released by REDF highlights how employment program grantee, New Mom’s, increased participant outcomes by embedding the brain and behavioral science of Executive Skills within its workforce program. New Mom’s, which operates a workforce training program and social enterprise for young adult mom’s, attributes increased enrollment rates, improved literacy and numeracy skills, and increased retention rates to this strategy. Chicago Jobs Council releases Workers’ Rights in Workforce Report
Chicago Jobs Council released a report which outlines workers most a risk of substandard wages and working conditions and shares how Chicagoland workforce agencies are educating and informing participants of their rights. The report also shares resources for weaving worker right curriculum into your program and tools that help agencies rate and select potential employment partners.
