The Fry Foundation Receives an Award from the National Children's Alliance
National Children’s Alliance hosted its annual Leadership Conference June 2nd - 5th in Washington, D.C. The conference aims to provide continuing education, networking opportunities and exposure to innovative programs and ideas for Children’s Advocacy Center leaders. Our board chair Lloyd A. Fry (Chip) attended the conference to receive the Community Philanthropy Leadership Award on behalf of the Fry Foundation. The Community Philanthropy Award recognized the Foundation’s ongoing support of the Children’s Advocacy Center’s Providing Access Toward Hope and Healing (PATHH), a collaborative of 21 nonprofits that provide therapy to child sexual abuse victims. With Fry Foundation support, the Children Advocacy Center has led the PATHH collaborative to address the persistent issues of long waiting lists for services since 2010. The Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center was formed in 1998 to unite public, private and community partners to better meet the needs of abused children.
